Frequently Asked questions

Where do you teach?

I teach online, internationally.

What software do you use to teach?

I teach all my online sessions via Zoom. I find this works really well, especially for screen sharing, as this enables me to annotate documents and use a virtual whiteboard.

What are your fees?

Fees vary according to the level and subject being taken.

How do I book?

Please book via the online booking system on my website.

Can I reschedule my tutoring session?

All sessions can be rescheduled if a minimum of 24 hours notice is given.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require at least 24 hours notice on all cancellations. If you cancel within 24 hours prior to the start of a session, then the full fee will be applicable.

How do I know tutoring will help me?

We will work together to identify the areas that need more work and reinforce this knowledge by doing practice exams and essays.

How often is tutoring required?

This is dependent on each individual student. There is no limit to the amount of sessions required. I can do one-off feedback for a project to intensive revision sessions of any subject.

Are you flexible with tutoring days and times?

Yes. My tutoring days and times are Monday - Saturday 10am - 10pm and Sundays 2pm - 10pm. Please note that all sessions are subject to availability.

Is tutoring one-to-one or in a group?

Tutoring is typically one-to-one but I am willing to offer small group classes if appropriate.

Are you available for tutoring in other languages besides English?

Although I can speak French and Italian, I would not feel confident enough to teach in these languages. Therefore I specialise in English language only for online tutoring, however I have had many students whose first language was not English.

Can you write essays for me?

No. My role as a tutor is to guide and advise only.

Are you DBS checked?

Yes.
